Outfielder Sawyer Carroll is hitting .481 with 7 HR’s, 9 doubles, and 1 triple. He has 5 stolen bases and is getting on at a .583 clip. Colllin Cowgill, a redshirt junior who was a star on the Yarmouth-Dennis Cape Cod Championship team last summer, is off to a good start, hitting .354 with 6 homers and 10 doubles. He’s also 13 for 14 in stolen base attemps. For the Gamecocks, shortstop Reese Havens continues to lead the team in hitting at .396. The junior has 7 home runs and has an impressive .979 fielding percentage. Pre season All American Justin Smoak is hitting .345 with 5 HR’s and 7 doubles, while walking (22) more than he’s struck out (16).
