Mizzou’s ace Aaron Crow won his third game of the season Saturday, defeating Indiana State 5-1. The right hander struck out nine in seven innings, allowing two hits.
Miami’s Yonder Alonso hit two home runs in the Hurricane’s conference win over Boston College. Alonso finished with four RBI, and the middle infield duo of Jemile Weeks and Ryan Jackson each finished with a pair of hits.
In FSU’s beating of Maryland, 16-0, freshman center fielder Tyler Holt finished 1-2 with 3 walks. Holt is the leader in OBP in the ACC, reaching base in four of his six at bats. He is currently getting on base at a .615 clip. Buster Posey was 2-4 with an RBI.
In Georgia’s 8-2 win over Memphis, Gordon Beckham added to his impressive start, hitting his sixth home run. The junior is now hitting .524 and slugging 1.071.
